Orthodontic Braces

Orthodontics and dentofacial orthopaedic treatment (clip treatment) deals with the correction of irregular and malplaced teeth and also corrects the facial deformities during the growing age. This speciality is the oldest and the most advanced speciality in dentistry.


An orthodontist & dentofacial orthopaedician is a person who has done 3 years of masters training in the subject in addition to the 5 years of BDS degree.Various appliances (clips) are used for the correction of irregular, malpositioned or forwardly placed teeth. They include labial metal appliance (usual clip), ceramic appliance (tooth colored), lingual appliance( clip placed at the inside part of the teeth, so not visible) and invisiline (correction with out clip).

Using various growth modification appliances facial growth can be redirected/ modified to improve facial appearances and correct malformation. But to correct facial malformations the patients has to report to the orthodontist at the time when growth is present. Generally the girls grow only till 13 years and the boys till 17 years. In several facial deformities surgery also may have to be incorporated along with orthodontics for adequate results.
Other than these usual treatments orthodontics also treats conditions such as TMD (clicking and pain of jaw joints , snoring, sleep apnea, gummy smile and air way obstructions. There is no practical age limit for orthodontic treatment and no particular age to start the treatment

Root Canal Treatments

Root canal treatment is an often straightforward procedure to relieve dental pain and save your teeth. Patients typically need a root canal when there is inflammation or infection in the roots of a tooth.


During root canal treatment, an endodontist who specializes in such treatment carefully removes the pulp inside the tooth, cleans, disinfects and shapes the root canals, and places a filling to seal the space.

Prosthodontics

Prosthodontics is that branch of dentistry which deals with the restoration and maintenance of oral function, comfort, appearance, and health of the patient by the restoration of the missing natural teeth.


It also deals with the replacement of missing teeth and contiguous oral and maxillofacial tissues with artificial substitutes. This discipline includes Fixed, Removable, Maxillofacial and Implant Prosthodontics.Prosthodontists have the advanced knowledge necessary to help provide treatment for birth defects such as cleft palate, conditions such as traumatic injury, and complex restorations for patients who have undergone surgical or radiation treatment for cancer.

Implants and Overdentures

Some times it require complex procedures like bone grafting, sinus lift and nerve lateralising , which is often unpredictable, for creating bone for implants. But in our clinic we complete the entire procedure in short span using basal implants which can take up chewing load immediately. patient is given temporary tooth the next day and permanent in few weeks time in 99% of the cases.


Gum Therapy

We must not loose teeth as we age.There are very effective therapies to combat this in our clinic, ranging from scalings (deep cleanings) that remove plaque and calculus from beneath the gum line to surgical repair of the lost gum and bone tissue.


Procedures like periodontal flap surgery, osseous surgery, bone grafting,soft tissue surgery are performed here by the consultant periodontal specialist,who is always on the lookout for early signs that the patients may not notice.

Crown and Bridges

Crowns are used in cases of severely chipped or broken teeth, to cover the exposed area of a tooth following a root canal procedure, to replace a large old filling or for cosmetic reasons.


When a filling is not a viable solution to correcting the damage sustained by a tooth, crowns can provide a long-term solution to restoring the function of your teeth and enhancing the appearance of your smile. Periodontal surgery can take various forms.But the goal is always to restore diseased tissues as well as maintain the healthy tissues.


Gum (Periodontal) disease can spread from the Gum to the bone that supports the teath, and may even cause tooth loss in the most severe cases.
